A Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and Professional Planner (PP), Robert Ryan founded OnPointe 3D Technologies, a highly qualified professional firm that provides as-built documentation, 3D laser scanning, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), Land Surveying, mapping and geospatial solutions. Mr. Ryan served in the United States Army for several years before being injured in the line of duty. With over 47 years of experience in the New York/Philadelphia Metropolitan area organizing, scheduling, supervising and managing staffing resources, field efforts, equipment and office processes to complete all land surveying, 3D documentation and mapping operations, Mr. Ryan's work has included: all facets of building and boundary surveys, topography and GPS control.
Mr. Ryan has supervised projects for large scale transportation, residential and commercial/industrial developments within the private and public sectors. He has managed On-Call Land Survey contracts with Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANY/NJ), Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) and South Eastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) among others.
Christopher Zmijewski
Operations Manger, OnPointe LLC
Having consulted and working with Robert Ryan on a variety of survey assignments over the last 15 years, Mr. Zmijewski formally joined OnPointe 3D Technologies as head of Operations, and is responsible for all aspects and overall initiatives relative to 3D laser scanning, Digital Imaging and Documentation. With over 30 years of experience in the science of surveying, he has been involved with the technology of 3D Laser Scanning for the last 20 years. Mr. Zmijewski previously served as a Practice Leader for Digital Imaging at Stantec where he had overseen all major 3D survey and modeling projects in North America for the past five years. Over the past seven years he has presented numerous seminars and workshops throughout the United States on the basics of 3D Laser Scanning Technology and has been published in various periodicals and major magazines in the industry. Mr. Zmijewski currently serves on the Advisory Board of SPAR POINT and was the 2012 recipient of the distinguished SPAR Star Award. A annual award to recognize innovative members of the community who have advanced the development and use of 3D technologies.
